Travel

The easiest way to reach The Grange is usually by train. Request Shanklin as your destination point and your ticket will include the 15-minute crossing by catamaran from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde. At Ryde, the FastCat is met by the connecting island train which takes you on to Shanklin in 20 minutes. Outside Shanklin station, take a cab for the 3-minute journey to Eastcliff Road.

If you cannot book a through ticket to Shanklin: Book your ticket to Portsmouth Harbour, from here you can buy your ferry crossing to Ryde Pier Head, your ticket to Shanklin can be purchased on the small train from the guard.

If, instead, you decide to drive then you can book your crossing from either Portsmouth Harbour to Fishbourne with Wightlink Ferries or Southampton to Cowes with Red Funnel Ferries.
