Isle of Wight Garlic Festival - The 2012 Garlic Festival dates still to be announced.
The festival provides a great day out for islanders and visitors. It supports local businesses and food producers.

The Garlic Festival is a weekend to celebrate the Islanders' feat of selling garlic to the French! The event takes place at Newchurch (A3056 Newport - Sandown road) with over 250 stallholders selling such delights as garlic beer and garlic ice cream as well as a wealth of other locally produced delicacies. Further entertainment includes live music from local bands and displays from mountain bike daredevils. ambience, country fair and great garlic cuisine

Isle of Wight Jazz Festival 2012

Wightlink Ferries

The Wightlink foot passenger 'FastCat' runs from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier in around 15 minutes. Wightlink car and passenger ferries run from Portsmouth to Fishbourne and take approximately 40 minutes.

Bestival 2011

The dates for Bestival, again at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight are 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th September 2011.
The Cure, Brian Wilson and Primal Scream are just a few of the acts to feature this year.
As well as the music, Bestival has the world’s biggest fancy dress party, the Bollywood cocktail bar, Laughter Clubs, a Farmers market, Kids area, Morris dancing, magical moments and more, as one of the most colourful events on the festival calendar.
